We have been called to Mexico to share the love of Jesus Christ by building homes to provide shelter for His children.
In August, St. Paul’s of Shorewood Lutheran Church will be sending a team to Mexico to build houses. We will join with others to help end the devastating effects of homelessness in Mexico, as well as volunteer at a youth center that allows for impoverished kids a chance to learn martial arts, provide an after school program for tutoring and other activities geared to kids. The center has created a safe place for kids to belong. Fundraisers are being done all year long. By donating items for these events, you will be supporting our team who will be raising the needed funds to build houses that will help to make a difference in the lives of children and families in Mexico. Our church has been involved for over 20 years now working in Mexico on short term mission work, building houses for homeless families, teaching Vacation Bible school, Orphanage visits and sports camps have all been a big part of our work there. We are now in a position to make an even bigger impact with getting involved in and the supporting of this youth center as well as building houses… this is the first phase of a well thought out plan…including an all-girls foster home in the future.
[01/06/17] We are going to Mexico for the 20th year this summer and God is asking me to find key people from other churches or ministries to join us to see what this mission work in Mexico is all about...so next year you can lead your own group down....we are all about getting others involved and active in the work that is so desperately needed in Mexico as well as the chance for you to grow in your faith in leaps and bounds...so why not pray about it and private message me if you are interested in going this summer
God is so faithful and he knows the hearts of people so much better than we could even imagine as of last night we now how double the amount of what was stolen from the church for our Mexico mission ministry...
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
[11/24/16] So emotional right now...and thankful...trusting God for each and every moment in my life and the ministry that I serve in...last week we lost a big chunk of money from a fundraiser we had done...someone broke in and took it upon themselves to run off with our funds...today on thanksgiving day I am overwhelmed by the generosity of so many from a neighbor to our church to a old friend and her grandkids and family who know just how important this Mexico Ministry is to me and more importantly to God...we are recouping our losses...thank you everyone who prayed for us and for the person who started this...amazing how when we put our trust in the Lord he continues to show us amazing results...so grateful...so thankful...so overwhelmed with joy...God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
[11/21/16] November is so often a month with no expectations and full of thankfulness...Guess that's what I love about November the most!!!! As most of you know someone tried to rain on that thankfulness last Saturday when they broke into the church and stole our mission money...but today a triple blessing came to my door...a dear friend and her two granddaughters had a conversation about what happened and they took their own money and brought it over today to help repay what was taken...tears are welling up and words can not describe just how loving and caring and generous this act was!!!! Jayden and Tylia and Roberta I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!! Love conquers all!!!!! God bless you and keep you and may his face shine on you as you listen to your heart and respond with love... my heart is so much lighter as God proves once again that if we trust in him he will provide abundantly!!!!!!
[11/21/16] Praying for who ever it was that broke into our church and stole the money we had raised for our Mexico mission trip to build houses this summer...praying they will see the light turn themselves in and get the help they need
[11/13/16] An EXTRA BIG shout out to all those who donated craft items and baked goods and those who worked the bazaar couldn't of done it without you!!!!!!
[11/13/16] A BIG thank you for all who came out to support us because of you we raised almost $900!!!!!!
You won't want to miss this event today hope to see you stop by !!!!!
