University Congregational UCC

The Facebook page for UCUCC is meant to be a presence so that folks can find out more about us and stay connected. We do want to be clear however, that this is not a page monitored regularly by pastors. Please send prayer requests to office@ucucc.org

This church gives me the freedom to be me. There is soooo much good inside the hearts of the people. - Kathleen Morgan

[11/10/16]   The United Church of Christ's 10 bold statements that describe what it means to "Be the Church"—and unapologetically Christian:

Be the Church.
Protect the environment.
Care for the poor.
Embrace diversity.
Reject racism.
Forgive often.
Love God.
Fight for the powerless.
Share earthly and spiritual resources.
Enjoy this life.

*The "Be the Church" story
It began in Fall 2014 with an info-graphic the United Church of Christ created for their Facebook page. Several customers, after seeing it, asked if the artwork could be made into a banner they could display outside on their church grounds. We delivered. Interestingly enough, some non-UCC churches have seen these banners displayed by UCC churches in their community and have asked how they can spread the "Be the Church" message, too.
